The Automobile Club de l'Ouest has revealed the official poster for the 95th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, breaking a tradition that has stood for over half a century. Ever since 1975, every official artwork released for the legendary endurance race featured a car or multiple racing machines as the central visual focus. For the upcoming 2027 running of the round five fixture in the FIA World Endurance Championship, the organization has pivoted entirely toward the human element of motorsport.
Designed to resemble a cult record sleeve, the newly unveiled artwork portrays a driver emerging from the shadows in a manner reminiscent of a rock star stepping onto a stage. The anonymous figure wears a helmet illuminated by dramatic lighting, conveying an intense moment of solitary concentration before a performance. According to the organizers, the silhouette does not represent any specific competitor or team, but instead serves as a universal embodiment of all male and female drivers who have tackled the demands of the Circuit de la Sarthe.
The creative execution behind the poster involved a collaboration with BOLD House for the third consecutive year, alongside the music industry photography expertise of Mister Fifou. Drawing inspiration from iconic album covers and musicians such as Daft Punk and Michael Jackson, the production marked the first time in the history of the race that the poster originated from a dedicated photo shoot rather than traditional illustration. The organizers emphasized that the cinematic lighting and every detail of the composition were orchestrated entirely by real people without the use of artificial intelligence, aligning with the new branding guidelines introduced this year.
Alongside the artistic reveal, the ACO announced the ticketing schedule for the 95th running of the French endurance classic. An exclusive presale period opens for Club ACO members, running from Tuesday through Thursday across online platforms, the circuit ticket office, and regional outlets in Paris, Tours, and Rouen. Tickets will then become available to the general public starting Friday through the official ticketing portal and standard distribution channels.
Spectator capacity will remain capped at the same level as the previous year to prevent overcrowding and ensure comfortable viewing around the venue. Organizers are also constructing brand new viewing areas at the emblematic Tertre Rouge corner, which will be completed in time for the race weekend. The popular Green Ticket initiative returns to encourage sustainable travel options, rewarding holders with points toward the Impact Challenge and offering opportunities to contribute to local tree-planting campaigns during checkout.
The anticipation surrounding the 95th edition is further heightened by a swelling top-class grid. Established manufacturers competing in the Hypercar category, including Toyota, Ferrari, Peugeot, BMW, Cadillac, Aston Martin, and Genesis, will face new challenges from incoming heavyweights like Ford and McLaren as they join the FIA World Endurance Championship battle.
